Yugambeh Museum, Language and Heritage Research Centre was established to collect evidence of the language, history and culture of the traditional Aborigines of the Yugambeh language region.

The Centre has carried out research over the past 15 years, producing a dictionary of Yugambeh language and a number of teaching resources and exhibitions. The Centre has developed language awareness and other programs, linking with many of the schools, Government and community organisations in and around the Gold Coast, Beenleigh and Beaudesert area.

The Yugambeh Museum has a library  of more than 3000 books, journals, maps, audio and video tapes which are held in a reserve collection and made available to visitors at the Museum.
